During the evening, Barclay’s can be booked out by you, giving you and your guests the utmost in privacy – This also allows us to give you the undivided attention that you deserve. On the balmy evenings the courtyard overlooked by gums is an additional bonus or on the cooler evening a warm fire complements the evening.
At evening functions we offer a range of excellent meal options in very generous
portions. Keep in mind that anything you order can be tailor made to your desire,
with the choice of plated or buffet cuisine.
We also offer a variety of quality finger foods, and several options menu packages that give you great flexibility in tailoring your evening function.
Not only is our food delicious, and Barclays is fully licensed with several drinks packages available for you to select with soft drink and coffee to a range of wines and beers.
Barclays specialise in providing buffet and table buffet meals and the following are examples of meals available. Menus can be adapted to personalise your function.
Finger Food Menu
Atlantic Salmon Skewers with a tahini yoghurt dipping sauce
Blackened chicken skewers with mild cajun spices and green mango chutney
Thai beef salad in wonton baskets
Five spice chicken goujons with a sweet and spicey plum sauce
Tartlets of eggplant puree and rare roasted eye fillet

Finger food a bit more basic:
Best suited for the any number of young ones, or just something a little more filling. For just such an occasion we make an assortment of party pies, spring rolls, vegetable samosa, mini quiche, ribbon sandwiches, house made sausage rolls and dip platters with warm turkish bread.
Mains
Rare roasted eye fillet pepper crusted and served on a warm chickpea and green bean salad, topped with a tart horseradish sour cream.
Moroccan chicken targine with apricots, dates, pine nuts and coriander, served with mint and chilli cous cous.
Whole baked salmon fillet infused with ginger and dill, topped with a tahina yoghurt sauce.
Eggplant and cauliflower korma curry served with cinnamon spiced jasmine rice, papadums and green mango chutney.
Braised lamb shoulder gently braised for 6 hours in an aromtic stock of Middle eastern spices, served with warm un leavened dipping bread and fresh green herbs.
Hearty beef burgandy pot pietender chunks of slow cooked gravey beef in a rich red wine and braised onion sauce, fresh baby spinach and topped with golden puff pastry.
Mushroom and kalamata olive penne mushrooms sauteed in thyme and garlic, pan tossed with penne pasta, olive tepenade, Spanish onion, baby spinach and parmesan.
Chicken florentine golden roasted chicken breast, stuffed with spinach and camembert, served on a bed of glazed sweet potato and a cranberry jus.
Black mussels in white wine, garlic and parsley, served with shoe string potato chips.
Pork belly braised in chinese master stock served with aromatic jasmine rice and spring onion spears.
Lamb madras curry served with steamed jasmine rice, fresh yoghurt, pappadums and green peas.
Dessert
Sticky date pudding served withbutter scotch sauce and double cream.
Ginger poached pears served on warm cinamon crepes with vanilla bean ice cream.
Cake selected from cabinet served with double cream and berry coulis.

Function Structures
There are three basiic structures that are available for a function held at Barclays Cafe. they are Cocktail Party, Sit Down Plated, or Buffet.
Cocktail Party
The cocktail party is a fantastic format for social events and birthdays. We are able to accommodate 100 people, or 120 using our outdoor courtyard.
Finger food served for a duration of 3 hours
8 pieces per person $18 per person (any 6 varieties)
12 pieces per person $26 per person (any 8 varieties)
15 pieces per person $32 per person (any 10 varieties)
itemsd from the something a bit more basic menu can be ordered as 5 pieces per person @$10 per person (recommended for children attending)
OR 12 pieces per person @$24 per person (recommended for the very hungry)
Sit Down Plated
This is ideal for functions that require a formal touch. With all sit down functions, we have a maximum number of 50 people. All of the previous mentioned main menu and dessert items are available. Entrees can be presented as plated meals chosen from the finger food menu, or as finger food served to the guests on arrival.
1 course (mains) $28 per person
2 course (your choice) $35 per person
3 course $42 per person
All meal options include table settings of fresh bread and a roquette and parmesian salad.
Sit down buffet
Ideal for your more social events, it also allows your guests the luxury of a wider choice.
Choose any 3 main items $25 per person

Add finger food on arrival $7 per person
Add dessert cake buffet $7 per person

Drinks options
We offer a number of ways to cater your beverages. Please be aware that our liquor licence does expire at 11.00pm.
Beer and wine Package
A range of red and white and beers (light and heavy) with soft drinks and orange juice.
$36 per person for 4 hours
$45 per person for 5 hours
Bar Tab
This allows you to place a tab on the drinks at bar prices , or have your guests buy their own.
Dry drinks Package
Non alchoholic punch, soft drinks and orange juice.
$10.50 per person for 5 hours
Tea and coffee
A regular coffee or pot of tea fro each guest. A great way to finish the meal $3.50 per person. |
